Valery Stephanovich Vashchenko is a character in AMC's Fear the Walking Dead. He is a cosmonaut who is trapped in space after the planet succumbed to infection.

Backstory
Nothing is known about Valery Stepanovich Vashchenko other than he was a Russian Cosmonaut.
Season 3
"Children of Wrath"
When Victor Strand desperately tries to contact someone on The Abigail, Valery answers. He explains that he is a cosmonaut who was trapped in space when the outbreak started. He then explains that the infection is global and it's seems that humanity will die soon including him as there is no way safe way for him to land. Victor and Valery have a brief conversation before the radio signal gives out.
Given the gap between Season 3 and Season 4 it can be assumed that Valery most likely died in space.
