  • Sorry to bother you, I was looking at your recent addition, is their a better copy of

Marine4.jpg, it just seems out of focus to me.

    Regards

    • I see, thank you

    • Sorry I couldn't be of help.

I was wondering if you could help me with something. I have been going over some of the older pages (such as the Marine Base) and doing a bit of a cleanup. I was wondering could you take a read of some pages and help with the cleanup? Maybe it's just me, but I feel as if they could be written better, but nothing is coming to me. What do you think?

        Loading editor
    • Here are the changes I made:

      http://fearthewalkingdead.wikia.com/wiki/Marine_Base?diff=27664&oldid=27650

If it is way off-base feel free to change it back.

The one thing of note that I would insist on is the following:

If there is an abbreviation/acronym, please define it before you use it like AWOL for example. I generally assume that the audience  has a average reading level and I also try to explain items in simpler terms if a subject matter is of a very specialized nature.

    • Actually, I think I will get Reg involved. There are several other pages that need attention/checking up. Some are just forgotten and need a bit of love, others just need to be checked up on for the new season (and with it been a crossover, there are bound to be an influx of new people). A bit of a spring clean, so to speak and with the three of us, it should be easy. So, the following need to be looked at, edited and added to if needed:

    • You guys have been busy...

Nice ToDo list; I added some pages :) just a couple.

From some spoilery things i saw, it looks as though we'll have to add some other twd characters and cast member pages as well. I don't want to say which ones in an open post, I'll just add the pages.

This season is either going to be the best thing that's ever happened to ftwd, or the worst...

    • It's going to be work. The list above is only a starter. With the top three editors on the wiki (Kovarro hasn't been active in 2 years, so Nemo, you are part of the top three), we should sweep through the edits. Pick and choose guys. At the moment, I have seen to Texas, for a start. I welcome contributions to that page. Gentlemen, star your engines.....

    • Summary:

      1) http://fearthewalkingdead.wikia.com/wiki/The_United_States_of_America?diff=27752&oldid=27731

      2) http://fearthewalkingdead.wikia.com/wiki/Emergency_Services?diff=27753&oldid=26843

      3) http://fearthewalkingdead.wikia.com/wiki/Operation_Cobalt?diff=27754&oldid=27652

There were minimal changes in the last item, and the only change that stood out was that the numbers mentioned were not spelled out (Standard to do in report writing), and the acronyms were not explained.

PS: I had no idea Maggie Grace would be on, I remember her from "LOST".

Also, the changes which we carried out now, are known as "improvement drives" in the Arrow Wikia

    • Looking good Nemo.

Yeah, Maggie Grace is on the show as Althea.

    • OK, I've watched some of the Season 4 trailers- mainly this one: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Ixdi8XdYHMQ

From it, I have gotten the following:

      • Alicia Clark and Naomi visit a Fun-Fair. Whether this fun fair will be and important location or not is unknown, but I have set up a page for it. I am having doubts whether or not it is a fun fair or a water park. If you look at the trailer and think it is a water park as opposed to a regular fun fair, let me know and I can rename the page.
      • Nick, his mom, Alicia et al seem to be currently residing at a fortified Baseball Stadium. <--- As you can see, I have set up a page for that. If you want to add anything to the page, please do so.
      • There was a scene with Morgan Jones at what looked like a trailer park. I got the impression that the trailer park was at least partially occupied, but I can't be sure. What do you guys think? If it is occupied, then it would constituted a location to be added.
      • The names of the locations (Fun-Fair, Baseball Stadium etc) are subject to change.
      • In relation to change, in relation to what Nemo said about acronyms, I have changed the name of a page. WHO is now World Health Organization, and I have included it as such in the Emergency Services page, so that is one less acronym is use.

    • great -- thank you

I did not say acronyms are wrong, I was trying to say that they should be explained, since most of our audience may not have subject matter expertise in a particular topic, in this case infection control. Acronyms are going to be used without our permission, and it is our job to explain the usage of the phrase.

        Loading editor
    • I understand that Nemo, that is why I changed the Acronym of WHO so that at least people may understand it.

Any thoughts on the other topics?

        Loading editor
    • As I said, I would be of no use to you with respect to episode summaries or the characters themselves.

If there was some outstanding accomplishment of an actor (ex Rueben Blades and his involvement in Panamaian politics), or if there is allusion to current events, literature, or film, I would be your man.

Now that you mention it, have you made any mention of George Romero, the founder of the genre, without him there would be no Walking Dead or the spin-off, merchandise or video games.

      Also,

      http://fearthewalkingdead.wikia.com/wiki/Real_World_Locations_of_Fear_the_Walking_Dead

Can there be a separate entry in the top navigation bar in locations for it, I think it deserves special emphasis.

Moreover, the gonzales dam, is that the true name of the dam that dante took over, or is it the name as provided by the show.

    • Nemo,

Real world info about cast & crew is often quite revealing, you can often see paterns in what people have worked on, and who they have worked with, before. For instance, Kim Dickens and Adam Davidson (the director of the pilot) worked together on Deadwood. This kind of information is often tricky to dig out.

        Loading editor
    • Fandom user...

      Your absolutely right about that.

        Loading editor
    • As for the Gonzales Dam, as memory serves, that is the name given in the show.

George Romero- lets keep it to things mentioned in show. Yes, there would be no Fear the Walking Dead or The Walking Dead without him, but the articles on this wiki are kept "in-world," as in the world of Fear, where George Romero and his works never existed.

      Birthday even?

Also what exactly do you want me to do with this? It seems like you have this under control?

    • Well, have you watched the trailer? Really, I want someone to check my work, to check spelling, grammar etc. in the Baseball Stadium, and whether or not I am right in my assumption that it is indeed a Fun-Fair that appears in the trailer a not a water park. Also, by watching the trailer, do you think the apparent trailer park which Morgan appears in is relevant enough to include on the wiki?

    • You want me to proof-read. I see.

You threw a lot a me, and I was trying to make sense of of it.

        Loading editor
    • If that is ok with you..... Like I said, with a new season around the corner I want things to be in the best shape they can be

        Loading editor
    • I have corrected nearly everything except Alicia Clark, it is just too many passages to read through.

Most of the corrections were acronyms, and I suggest you change fun fair to water park (Name of the place is Whirlin' Wavez, I just re-read your entry and you had the same notion), and I put a higher resolution photo in funfair based on the video you gave me. I usually put photos of places without persons if possible, it might be a little distracting if you are discussing about the location ( I noticed there was Alicia and the new girl in yours)

PS: I just saw the Jenna Elfman article, no idea she was in it. She seems a lot older, or maybe its the makeup.

Also I added a few facts in the texas article, I would not be suprised if the power grid were mentioned in this season.
