It is the home country of Daniel Salazar, his wife Griselda Salazar and Daniel's father Miguel Salazar. Daniel's experience during the Salvadorian Civil war, where he was press ganged into service with the Salvadorian Junta, gave Daniel a healthy distrust of the military and government as well as certain 'skills' he would use years later during the initial stages of the outbreak.
