Edwards Air Force Base is a location mentioned in AMC's Fear the Walking Dead. It is a United States Air Force Installation located in southern California.
Pre-Apocalypse
Before the outbreak, Edwards Air Force Base served as the Air Force Test Center and the Air Force Materiel Command center, as well as the home of the U.S. Air Force Test Pilot School and NASA's Armstrong Flight Research Center.
Post-Apocalypse
After Operation Cobalt went into effect and the military began to evacuate their personnel from Los Angeles, most of the evacuation helicopters would be heading for Edwards Air Force Base, as stated by Bethany Exner and a few soldiers.
However, several of the soldiers believed that Edwards Air Force Base was not operational and that this was just another story they were being fed to keep them in line.
