Ok - so it's starting to feel as if it's actually going to happen. We have a date, August 23rd, a promise that it will go out internationally all on the same date and.... We have a proper trailer, an actual real, you can blink in the middle of it and not miss the whole thing honestly - trailer...
So, Season 1 starts on the 23rd August and there will be a Talking Dead, but only after the last episode of the season this time round
The trailer then - Yes it's out - and yes it's gorgeous and yes it's 3 minutes long - that's minutes, not seconds. It does have some now familiar scenes and characters but we get a lot more information, guns, soldiers, police, zombies (can't call them walkers in FEAR remember, not that I have any idea what we can call t…Read more >
Twitter & Instagram etc have been going ever so slightly crazy for the past 24 hours as SDCC 2015 gets underway. The panels for both Walking Dead shows aren't until the second day but Chad Coleman helpfully tweeted a pic of the queue outside Hall H where the Walking Dead shows will both have their panels - so they're queuing the day before?
There are more pics in the twitterverse than i'm going to post here :) But, having said that, a bunch of actors from a couple of shows you might be familiar did post some snaps
Fairly obviously Norman Reedus forgot his selfie stick for this first one.
With panels for both shows from 12 noon PDT we're expecting some announcements and, fingers crossed, a longer trailer for FEAR!
I'll post the details as soon…

AMC still seem to be in overdrive... They premiered another video clip during Episode 2 of Humans when it was showing in the US last night. It shows a woman exiting her Honda minivan. After getting something from the back of the van, she slides the door shut and we get to see the upper torso of a zombie reflected in the window. This zombie appears to be freshly dead, maybe only a day or two gone and is definitely in the style of zombies we are familiar with seeing in The Walking Dead.
No such luck in the UK, we're ahead of the US for Humans (we're on episode 4) but no new FEAR clips for us.
There were also two other new teasers. They were slotted in among the screenings of the movie Independence Day the night before on July 4th. US fans only ag…Read more >
San Diego Comic Convention (SDCC) and The AMC ‘Fear The Walking Dead’ Panel will be on the Friday, 1 to 2 pm in Hall H, right after the panel for TWD.
And they seem to be taking pretty much everyone they can, confirmed are Cliff Curtis, Kim Dickens, Frank Dillane, Alycia Debnam-Carey, Elizabeth Rodriquez, Lorenzo James Henrie, Ruben Blades and Mercedes Mason with executive producer and showrunner Dave Erickson, executive producer Gale Anne Hurd, executive producer David Alpert, and special effects makeup supervisor and executive producer Greg Nicotero to discuss the anticipated series premiere of Fear the Walking Dead coming this summer. There will be a Q&A session and an official sneak preview of the new series.... All moderated by “Talking…Read more >
AMC have released new artwork for FEAR, nicely in time for SDCC (San Diego Comic Convention) and I have to say it looks excellent.
Those footprints look suspiciously draggy to me...
The title, does that refer to the start of the tv show in August or the start of the outbreak in Santa Monica?
Also, another clip, only short but still a clip :) It's of Madison and another character (the school principal? another clleague), talking about the flu and flu shots.
Oh - and the official AMC Twitter Account for FEAR is up and running, that little clip is their first tweet. Follow @FearTwd to see it.Read more >
There are two new trailers, two.... Months of very little and then two trailers in quick succession (one of them even has dialogue)
The trailers are both on the main page slider thing but as you're here..
- The first new one is "Reports in Five States" and has Madison telling a very worried schoolboy hat he needs to spend less time online.
- The second, "Missing Posters", is much shorter and features Madison looking much less sure of herself as she spots some prominent "Missing Child" posters - oh, and a shamblingly familiar figure in the distance, walking through the shadow of some trees.
I think someone at AMC is going to need a bit of a lie down after all this. If they release another one on Monday I'll need a lie down. Have a good weekend :)… Read more >
The press has been pretty full of the San Diego Comic Convention (SDCC) to which both FEAR and TWD will be sending panels, both moderated by The Talking Dead's host. Wish I was going... Let us know what it was like if you've been lucky enough to get there.
Apart from that it's been a quiet week, a nice looking poster turned out to be fan art (whoever did that ought to be working for AMC's marketing department) and still no premiere date apart from Kirkham saying it's in August... But we do have a couple of nice items.
New Trailer!! In the Videos section off the Main Page
What We Know So Far (based on an uproxx article some of these may be wrong, quite a few of them are unsupported as far as I know...)
- It will take place in Los Angeles, and as a r…
JUNE 11TH, 2015 (yet) More snippets from Kirkman and EW; Kirkman is quoted as saying..
“Everything that happens in Fear The Walking Dead is in the same universe as The Walking Dead, so any rule that we find out and anything they see in the early days is definitely something that was happening in the past of the other show. These two shows are very intertwined in the same world, even if their characters aren’t necessarily going to interact because of geographical distances. So yeah, anything that you learn from Fear the Walking Dead will apply to the mythology of The Walking Dead and vice versa. So you are going to get to see that the characters learn that they’re all infected in a much different way. But all the rules do apply and are the sa…
